Creating a "Technology Master
Plan" is similar to creating a master plan for your
building program. The place to start is with what you are
currently doing in ministry today. This starts with the
pulpit ministry style, how does the Pastor communicate?
Does he or she use dynamic inflection in their delivery? Do
they use their hands to help illustrate? Does the Pastor
use video or physical props? Do you implement themed sermon
series that require dedicated platform space?
These are some of the components of worship that are to be
considered in a good technology master plan. Each aspect of
what you do currently is to be taken in consideration. Then
you want to look at the vision for your ministry in the
future and plan for those aspects that are not currently in
place. Whether it is because of physical limitations or
technological limitations.
The complete campus needs to be addressed at this time.
This includes parking, outdoor gathering areas, as well as
architectural and natural features. Walkways and prayer
gardens with special lighting and sound to create welcoming
and worshipful environments.
