Video Presentation Systems

When designing for video projection one of the most important things to keep in mind is that moving video attracts attention.  When placing projection screens in a worship space know that you can use video screens not only to communicate but also to direct attention to the pastor.

Line of sight for video must include Pastor in the view.  It is a good idea whenever you can to direct people Take advantage of that.  Each seat should be able to both see the Pastor and the video content being presented.  This will bring the most impact, without distracting from the Pastor and confusing the congregation.

Video formats are evolving from 4:3 to 16:9 and many custom formats and sizes.  It is now possible to have video images 20' tall and 80' wide if desired.  So this opens up a lot of possibilities for platform design, from using video back drops to on-location themed sermon series.  Just about whatever shape or size you think of can be achieved.

“Video Wall Paper” is a new design term, basically we can “paint walls” with video.  This can be a good way to establish the ministries “brand” or create theme environments with less cost.
